Kuwait delegation visits KFAED-funded projects S. Iraq

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- A delegation from Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development visited Sunday a KFAED-funded residential complex and a medical center in southern Iraq to get acquainted with construction process first-hand.

The visit aims at getting first-hand account of construction in Umm Qasr residential complex and Kuwait Surgical Complex, Kuwait Consulate in Basra said in a statement, sent to KUNA Kuwait.

The delegation's visit is to hold meetings with authorities building the two projects, Yusuf Al-Sabbagh, Consul General, said in a statement.

Nawaf Al-Mahmel, head of KFAED delegation, said construction in the presidential complex was over 40 percent.

Umm Qasr project includes 228 housing units, four schools, services and entertainment facilities. (end) bs
