Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee chief Bhupesh Baghel and Chhattisgarh BJP president Dharamlal Kaushik traded charges on Sunday over killings of several Congress leaders by Maoists in 2013 at Jheeram valley in restive Bastar region.
Baghel alleged that Jheeram incident in which 27 people were killed mostly the Congress leaders, was a ‘brahmastra’ of Bharatiya Janata Party.
But Kasushik hit back at Baghel, saying that Jheeram killings was a result of Rs intense internal rift’ within the Congress
The sudden verbal spat broke out between the Congress and the BJP state chiefs after senior leaders of both the parties accused each other of indulging in Rs below the belt’ politics.
