PATNA: The state BJP is in the process of shortlisting booths where Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' will be heard by party workers on November 26.

"The PM has urged people to share their ideas for his 38th edition of 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on All India Radio," state BJP vice-president Dewesh Kumar said on Saturday. He added the party wants its workers to hear PM's 'Mann Ki Baat' as it will consolidate the organisation and strengthen it at the grassroots level.

The hallmark of the second term of BJP national president Amit Shah is his directive to form new organisational unit called Shakti Kendra, coinciding with a panchayat in rural areas, and one Shakti Kendra for a cluster of three to four wards in areas under municipal corporations and nagar panchayats.

Bihar has 8,463 panchayats and around 2,992 wards in the urban local bodies. The state BJP is gearing up to form around 10,000 Shakti Kendras in its 45 organisational districts. Beginning November 21, the party's 32 state office-bearers and 13 senior functionaries, barring MLAs and MLCs, will camp in their respective organisational districts to shortlist the booths where the PM's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme will be broadcast.
