Washington DC [USA], November 19 : Pop superstar Mariah Carey has stated that the recent outpouring of sexual harassment claims made by courageous actors in Hollywood stirred up incidents from her own past.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 47-year-old singer revealed that the women, who recently disclosed their incidents of sexual harassment, has brought back memories of her own, however, she does not want to talk about it.
"These are some very strong women and it's something to be admired. Of course, we hope things change and we hope that people don't have to go through these things anymore," she said.
Hinting that the recent news brought back chills to her spine, the singer added, "Does it bring up anything from my own life? Yeah. But I'm not going to make it all about me. I throw my support toward those women who have come forward. And in an earnest way, from my heart."
The 'Hero' hit-maker is currently said to be recovering from a respiratory infection.
