Last tributes paid to Bandipora martyr

The Indian Air Force (IAF) paid tributes to Garud commando Jyoti Prakash Nirala at Chandigarh Air Force station who was martyred during encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Hajin. Six terrorists, including the nephew of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, were killed in a massive operation carried out by security forces in north Kashmir. Hajin has witnessed many encounters between terrorists and security forces in the past few months. On October 11, two Indian Air Force Garud commandos were killed in an encounter in Hajin. Two terrorists were also gunned down during the encounter.
