Arsenal news: The Gunners may be the closest challengers to Man City for the Premier League - Ogden

Arsenal beat north London rivals Tottenham 2-0 at the Emirates yesterday to go within one point of Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the table.

Victory keeps the Gunners in sixth place, 12 points behind leaders Manchester City.

However, Arsenal are only four points adrift of Manchester United in second after 12 games of the season.

Ogden believes the momentum in north London is now with Arsenal and has not ruled out them producing a title charge alongside City.

Who’s to say that Arsenal won’t be the closest challengers to Man City this season?

Mark Ogden on Arsenal

“If you look at the table they are just beneath Tottenham,” Ogden said.

“But in terms of being back on top, the momentum today is with Arsenal and there’s only one point between them now.

“Who’s to say that Arsenal won’t be the closest challengers to Man City this season?

“There’s not a lot between the second, third, fourth and fifth.

Manchester City are currently unbeaten following their 2-0 win over Leicester at the King Power yesterday.

Arsenal's next league game is against Burnley next Sunday (2pm).
