It is well-said and an open secret that only one single nation sponsor and support terrorism in South Asia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the recently concluded G-20 summit in China clearly said, without naming Pakistan, that terror has only one address as of today. His indirect pressure on China for not rewarding the terror supporters must be taken seriously by the middle kingdom.
Modi rightly raised concerns on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with the Chinese President Xi Jinping which passes through the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Thus his appeal to China to become sensitive towards each other’s concerns must be noted by Beijing.
It is a big surprise that why countries like China, America and UK are not coming up against Pakistan? Why so many of these nations are still doing business with Pakistan? When the UN Security Council has the proof of India’s most wanted terror suspect Dawood Ibrahim living there and when the global terror mastermind Osama bin Laden was killed very much in the Pakistani soil, what more evidence the global community need to isolate that country? But still no action is being taken. Modi is absolutely right in saying that terrorism does not have factories and terrorists do not possess banks-someone must be financing them for sure. Pakistan loves to do the same against India.
Global community must come out in open. The UN Secretary General should come up heavily on Pakistan and warn that country not to allow its soil for jihadists. It seems true that ‘Pakistan is a cancer to the entire world’ as told by the self-exiled MQM leader Altaf Hussain last month. Why Modi needs to point finger at Pakistan? The whole world knows the bitter truth about Pakistan. It is time now to act. Pakistan should not be allowed to continue its anti-India activities. It must be prevented from harbouring jihadism.
