(MENAFN) One day after the Trump administration lifted the ban of importing elephant trophies; President Trump has put it on hold.

Overturning a ban which was carried out during Obama-era in 2014, imports of elephant trophies hunted in two African countries, Zambia and Zimbabwe, has been decided to recommence.

Animal activists instantly stepped forward to protest in fury, in a letter sent to President Trump by French actress Bridget Bardot, she said "your shameful actions confirm the rumours that you are unfit for office."
