MAPUSA: In yet another fatal accident involving motorcyclists riding without helmets, two youth from Sindhudurg, Maharashtra died on the spot after their vehicle collided with a state-run passenger bus at Torsem along NH-17 on Friday evening.
According to Pernem police, the Kadamba bus, driven by Dinesh Chodankar, 38, was travelling from Torsem towards Pernem, while Laxman Mapankar, 30, along with Harshal Rawool, were proceeding on their Maharashtra-registered two-wheeler in the opposite direction.
Police said that the motorcycle rider lost the control and dashed head on with the bus. Both of them suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.
