The British boxer publicly split from his partner earlier this year and has reflected on how he handled the situation. 

Speaking about their relationship ahead of his debut in the jungle, the 30-year-old commented: "I think if you look at the whole situation, it was all just silly, starting with the texts, then I accused her of messaging [Antony] Joshua, it was all just nonsense really from the start.

"And then when we sat down and thought, 'Look, we've got a family'. Also she's expecting so we have to think for the kids."

"In life you have to forgive. We have to move forward and move on from things like that."

Amir shares three-year-old daughter Lamaisah with Faryal and the couple are expecting their second child together. 

The star went on to add to Mirror Online that they have put everything behind them and the pair stayed at his parents house before he jetted out to Australia. 

"I had a lot of falling-outs with my family and Faryal and now we get on so good and we've all put everything behind us," Amir said. 

"It's all a big wake-up call for us all and we're one big family again. The day before I left for Australia we were all at my mum's house. Me and Faryal slept in our spare room."

It comes after it was revealed that Amir Khan is joint-favourite to be booted out of the I'm A Celebrity camp first. 

Bookmakers have chalked his odds at being eliminated first at 5/1 alongside fellow sportsman Dennis Wise. 

Following closely behind them could be The Saturdays star Vanessa White, with her odds at 6/1 to be kicked out by viewers.
