GHAZIABAD: A superintendent with the Goods and Services Tax department, living in Ashiana Palm Court, Raj Nagar Extension, has accused two residents of the society of passing lewd comments and threatening physical violence against his wife and daughter for several months. One of the accused is a Delhi police official.
The superintendent, A K Rai said, "On Thursday evening, when my wife and daughter were walking our dog, these men along with others started singing obscene songs. When my daughter confronted them, they threatened of physical attack. She then called up police control room and a PCR van reached. The police brought both parties to Sihani Gate police station."
"To build pressure on my wife and daughter, the men filed counter complaints against residents who were accompanying my family, of sexually harassing their wives. Police forced my family to reach a compromise, saying they would have to lock up both parties," he added.
Rai said, when he returned next day, he met senior police officers. SHO, Sihani Gate police station, Vinod Kumar Pandey said, "I've directed Morta police station in-charge of conducting an inquiry and if allegations are found to be true, action will be taken."
