Manchester United vs Newcastle teams: Pogba starts with Ibrahimovic on the bench

PAUL POGBA starts for Manchester United against Newcastle today.

Pogba has been out of action for Manchester United since injuring his hamstring in a Champions League game against FC Basel back in September.

But the France international returns to the fold this afternoon.

Jose Mourinho has gone with a strong side as he aims to get his team's title challenge back on track.

Victor Lindelof is paired with Chris Smalling at the back, with David De Gea also playing behind Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young.

Pogba's return sees him partner Nemanja Matic, while Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will all operate behind Romelu Lukaku.

An added bonus for United is that last season's top scorer - Zlatan Ibrahimovic - is on the bench.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have made two changes from the side that lost to Bournemouth last time out.

With Christian Atsu and Joel Lascelles injured, Ciaran Clark and Jacob Murphy start.
