2 foreigners without valid papers held

Calangute: Two foreigners were arrested on Saturday for staying in the country without valid travel documents, and the management of the hotel they were putting up at in Porbavaddo here also booked for failing to file mandatory C-forms for them.


PI Jivba Dalvi said during a surprise check of the hotel by Calangute police and foreigners branch officials, Temb Dona Charlice, 27, from South Africa, and Osasere Joseph, 32, from Nigeria, were found without valid travel documents, following which they were taken into custody. While Charlice was found with a fake visa and has been charged under IPC sections 420, 468, 471 and section 14 of the Foreigners Act 1946, Joseph has been charged under section 14 of the same Act. tnn
