Google Maps is well known for revealing parts of the world that may go unnoticed. 

In the past, it has shown us strange occurrences in different countries, like a group of Japanese citizens dressed in pigeons hats. 

However, this newly unveiled image is something even more bizarre.

The image depicts an alien sitting in broad daylight on a chair – and he appears to be soaking up the sun.

Wearing a tie dye T-shirt and matching bandage, the alien is having a whale of a time.

He is sitting in a relaxed pose, resting his large head on one shoulder, with his long fingers spread out before him.

Although the location is unclear, it is obviously somewhere nice and hot.

The short shadows cast from the waste bin behind show it is probably around midday. 

Whether this is an extra terrestrial sighting or simply an alien doll thrown out by a prankster, it is unclear.

However, the background gives us a clue as to the real story behind this strange figure.

There is an office desk chair placed on the side of the lawn, as if it has come straight out of someone's home.

This suggests the wider image may be of someone moving house, or simply tossing a lot of old rubbish away.

Recently, Google maps users were shocked to discover a triangle in Australia which resembled a UFO.

The creepy shape was illuminated on its corners, and gave an eerie glow.

It resembles the “black triangle” UFOs rumoured to have been spotted in Arizona, Kansas and Texas. 

Although Google Maps have since hidden it from view, users have since labelled the spot “The Hidden Triangle” to mark where it used to show.
