GO-SWIFT portal push for ease of doing business

BHUBANESWAR: IN a significant step towards facilitating ease of doing business in the State, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday launched the single window portal for industries, GO-SWIFT (Government of Odisha Single Window Investor Facilitation and Tracking).
Describing the launch as a significant development, the Chief Minister said GO-SWIFT will provide all required services and support to an investor during the entire investment life-cycle of a project in a time-bound, hassle-free, paperless and transparent manner.
With the launch of the portal, the approval process for 32 services from 15 State Government departments has been made online end-to-end. It includes approvals, e-payments, application tracking and downloading certificates for all linked G2B (government to business) services.
A query management system has been integrated, mandating that queries will have to be raised only once within seven working days from the date of application by the investors. Timelines under the Odisha Right to Public Services Act 2012 has been mapped for each service to guarantee time-bound delivery.
Besides, investor dashboards for senior government officials have been developed enabling availability of real-time information regarding important details about each industrial unit in the State, including status of approvals, inspections, incentive disbursement, grievance resolution, post allotment requests and CSR activities.
The new single window portal launch commemorates the 75th meeting of State-Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA). Highlighting the features of the portal, Principal Secretary in the Industries Department Sanjeev Chopra said GO-SWIFT has seamlessly integrated all existing technological applications of industries department via the single-sign on framework.
Chopra said an industrial unit can get customised information regarding incentives and requisite approvals about the proposed investment, select land, apply for single window clearance, obtain land and other utilities. Besides, the units can also get statutory clearances, take advantage of risk based synchronised inspections by regulatory agencies, obtain post land allotment services from Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO), resolve issues with government departments and link its CSR activities with the developmental goals of the State.
