BLACK FRIDAY UPDATE 7am GMT: Amazon and Carphone Warehouse have just launched their official sales which will continue all week.

Amazon has money off its Fire Tablets and Echo speakers whilst Carphone Warehouse has slashed the price of the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7.

Argos has also announced that it will be starting a new Black Friday flash sale today.

The flash sale will be running with 20% off hundreds of deals across toys, floorcare, health & fitness, kitchen electricals and personal care, plus additional voucher codes on technology. 

Offers include up to 20% off selected lines with the FLASH20 code, 10% off TV, Mac and computing with code FLASH10, plus additional discounts on iPads.

LATEST AT 2.00am GMT: Black Friday 2017 begins next week and this major bargain shopping event is expected to be bigger and better than ever before.

All the major retailers, including Amazon, Argos and Currys will be taking part with huge savings across a range of top technology, games and consoles.

Although the official sales don’t start until next week, many stores have already begun slashing prices in the build-up to the big Black Friday sales.

Early offers include money off 4K TVs, headphones, smart speakers and home appliances.

The shopping bonanza will last all weekend, and is followed by Black Friday’s online equivalent Cyber Monday on November 27.

So, if you are thinking about taking part in the Black Friday bonanza here’s everything you need to know about the Amazon, Currys, Argos and Tesco sales.

AMAZON DEALS

Amazon’s deals are starting early this year with the online retailer confirming that its Black Friday sales will begin on November 17.

The Amazon Black Friday Deals Store will then remain open until 11.59pm on Sunday November 26.

During this busy shopping period, the online retail giant will be offering ‘Deals of the Day’.

You will be able to get money off a range of products such as Amazon devices, electronics and pet supplies as well as kitchen and home & garden items.

Amazon will also offer thousands of ‘Lightning Deals’ - these are available at a discount, in limited quantities, for a short period of time.

The Amazon Lightning Deals for Black Friday 2017 will be introduced throughout the sale with new deals available as often as every five minutes.

Amazon has also announced that, from today, the all-new Amazon Echo smart speaker is dropped to its lowest ever price.

This award-winning speaker is getting a decent discount with a Black Friday price of just £69.99 - making it one of the best early deals so far.

This offer starts from 9am today and is likely to run until the official sales begin later next week.

It's not just the Echo that's getting an early deal as the Echo Dot has also been reduced to £34.99.

Customers can grab an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription for just 99p as part of the sales.

The usual price for this service is £7.99 for Amazon Prime members and £9.99 for non Prime users.

The offer lasts for three months with the price then increasing to back to the usual monthly plan.

ARGOS DEALS

Argos had some major offers in 2016 and the deals are already beginning this year.

The famous store is encouraging customers to beat the Black Friday rush and get their hands on brilliant bargains with the launch of 14 days of Black Friday deals.

Offers are now live on the Argos website with deals across toys, technology, TVs, video games, health and beauty and more.

Some of the best deals include £240 off a Dyson V6 vacuum and an Xbox One S bundle for £199.

There’s also 4K TVs for under £330 and money off laptops and tablets.

Expect more offers from Argos in the coming days. 

CURRYS DEALS

Currys PC World has just unveiled additional deals to add to its Why Wait? promotion, giving shoppers a taste of what’s to come during next week’s Black Tag event.

Deals include lowest ever prices on key tech such as the Google Home, down from £129 to £79 and the Amazon Echo Dot down from £49.99 to £34.99.

The Why Wait? promotion also includes 10% of ALL washing machines, when using the exclusive 24-hour code, WASH10 at the Currys PC World online checkout.

Gaming deal highlights include the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro - 1 TB bundle, with FIFA 18, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy and Call of Duty WWII Trilogy for £330 (£102.97 saving).

The promotion also includes savings on brands such as Samsung, AEG, Hotpoint and Acer.

TESCO DEALS

Tesco hasn’t announced any Black Friday offers yet but it has got some standard deals with reductions on TVs, laptops and headphones.

There’s also a great Tesco offer on the Nintendo Switch which saves fans of this portable console over £40.

The Nintendo Switch comes bundled with Super Mario Odyssey for a reduced price of £329.99.

Over the coming days more offers are expected to be added but the biggest savings are likely to take place on Black Friday itself.

Last year saw Tesco slash prices on popular products including the PlayStation 4, Amazon kindles, Sat Navs and Dyson vacuum cleaners.

SKY BLACK FRIDAY DEALS

There could be some good deals to come from Sky with the TV company already cutting prices.

These deals include price drops to popular bundles and a new discount on Sky Cinema which features hundreds of movies for just £10 per month.

Sky usually charges around £30 a month for its Cinema channels so this offer brings a hefty saving over the 18-month contract.

It’s available to both new and existing customers with Sky boasting over 1,000 films are included in the package.

JOHN LEWIS BLACK FRIDAY 2017

John Lewis has started to slash prices on its site ahead of Black Friday, on November 22nd.

The high street retailer has dropped the price of a number of key products, including MacBook notebooks, and Star Wars gifts for children.

The entry-level Macbook Pro, usually priced at £1,249 from Apple, has been dropped to £1,149 on John Lewis.

Similarly, Apple’s Macbook Air has dropped from £949 to £849.

Toys such as the Star Wars Millennium Falcon Papercraft Pack is down to £4.96, from £15.59.

MORRISONS BLACK FRIDAY DEALS

Morrisons just couldn’t wait to start the discounts. The UK supermarket has launched a selection of reductions early, with more to come over the next few days.

Marks and Spencer have also decided to take part in Black Friday this year as the competition intensifys among retaliers.

Some of the best deals on offer include 20 per cent off selected hampers, including Christmas hampers and pre-orders, Mix and match 3 for 2 on Christmas decorations and gifts and 50 per cent off selected gift sets.

CARPHONE WAREHOUSE BLACK FRIDAY DEALS

Carphone Warehouse has unveiled a number of deals to kickstart its Black Friday sales.

The high street store has taken the wraps off hundreds of Black Tag deals across its Pay Monthly, Unlocked Sim Free handsets, Sim Only, Broadband products and more. These are available online and in-store throughout the UK for an 18-day period, starting November 17th.

And if you think you’ve found a better deal on a Pay Monthly contract, Carphone Warehouse says it will still honour its Price Promise guarantee during this period.

One of the headline deals sees an impressive £200 slashed from the Samsung Galaxy S8. Available in Black, Orchid Grey or – exclusive to Carphone Warehouse – in Blue, customers can get a Galaxy S8 for £29.99 per month on iD with no upfront cost. 

This is alongside a saving of £200 on the iPhone 7, available for £29.99 per month on iD with a £29.99 upfront cost, and the Huawei P10, which will be available for £49.99 upfront with a £25.49 per month EE contract.

In addition, the latest Nokia 8 handset can also be snapped up for just £29.99 upfront on an EE pay monthly contract of £22.99 per month, with a saving of £200.

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday, which takes place on the day after Thanksgiving, falls on November 24 this year.

Many deals will appear online as soon as the clock strikes midnight, while a majority of UK’s high street retailers will open at 6am.

The shopping bonanza will last all weekend, and is followed by Black Friday’s online equivalent Cyber Monday on November 27.
