Dipika Kakar on marriage plans with Shoaib Ibrahim: You’ll get to hear about it soon

Dipika Kakar, at the launch of her new show Entertainment Ki Raat, spoke at length about her new venture and her relationship with Shoaib Ibrahim.

There are only few who are blessed with talent, and only lucky ones are bestowed with multiple gifts. Sasural Simar Ka fame actor Dipika Kakar definitely falls under both these exceptional brackets. After impressing the masses with her acting skills and then showcasing her dance moves on Nach Baliye 8, the actor has now launched her own fashion line. Named after beau Shoaib Ibrahim’s mother’s name ‘Sitara’, the actor is prepping up to make her mark in the new industry. We caught up with Dipika at the launch of her new show Entertainment Ki Raat and spoke at length about her new venture and her relationship with Shoaib.

Talking exclusively about her fashion line, Dipika said, “Sitara is named after our Ammi (mother) as she is my inspiration. I am super excited about this new venture. The fashion line will mostly have Indo-western dresses, something that I love wearing. People have always complimented me that I carry these creative and fashionable outfits quite well. So I decided why not share it with all the beautiful women out there. Also it’s one of my passions to play around with fabric and color. I have really worked hard to make this and I am hopeful that people will like it.”

When we asked her about Shoaib and their wedding bells, Dipika smilingly said, “You will get to hear about it very soon.”

With religion always being a primarily issue between couples in India, these actors had it easy, as Dipika added, “It was never an issue between us as we have our priorities sorted. We are mature people and understand each other well. Be it work or personal life, we take all decisions together as that’s how our relationship has been formed.”

Lastly, when we asked her to share what has kept them going so strong all these years, the pretty actor added, “Whenever I talk about relationships, people say you are too gyaani (laughs). But I think a relationship is build by lot of things put together and not just on one aspect. There has to be respect, transparency, loyalty, trust and a lot of love. Also, with Shoaib and me, we have still retained our friendship and that has helped us a lot. Even now, we indulge in our pillow fights and he smacks me in front of people. It’s the best way as to become lifelong partners, you have to first be each other’s best friends.”

Entertainment Ki Raat will launch on Colors on November 18 at 10 pm. Along with Dipika, it has popular celebs like Ravi Dubey, Karan Wahi, Asha Negi, Aditya Narayan, RJ Malishka, Raghu Ram, Mubeen, Balraj and more as performers.
