Well-known social activist and MP of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), K Kavitha who is also the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, visited Patanjali Yogpeeth on Wednesday to bring pace in the development process of the fledgling State.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Patanjali and Government of Telangana in the presence of the yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna. The Parliamentarian discussed with Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna on how to develop the State fast.
Kavitha said Patanjali campaign for Yoga, Ayurveda, health, education, indigenous products, Indian heritage and culture is enhancing the pride of the Indians and charging them with nation-building.
“At the same time, the campaign with stress laid on Swadeshi is liberating the country from the slavery to foreign companies. As per the MoU inked, Patanjali would support our State through purchasing local fruits and vegetables,” she added.
“Telangana is endowed with a superabundance of fruits and vegetables. The farmers of my State would get optimum prices of their crops and it would not just enhance their income but would generate employment galore for the youth of the State,” she said.
After the meeting was over Acharya Balakrishna said they would work hard so as to ensure that the products of Telangana get the national/international recognition they deserve. “We would take them beyond the national frontiers. A centre would be opened in the State to facilitate the mutual transport of the products,” he added.
