The next big project of Yash Raj Films, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar brings back the Ishaqzaade couple Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Back in 2012, when Arjun made his debut with Ishaqzaade, the audience loved his chemistry with Parineeti in the film where both of them played small-town lovebirds who without speaking the lingo of soft romantic love won hearts just with their love-hate relationship. Now that the duo is all set to be seen together on the silver screen, the movie buffs can expect to see them in a similar avatar.

In Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Arjun and Parineeti portray a man and a woman who represent two completely different faces of India. They are united by their mistrust, suspicion and hate for each other. However, the director of the movie, Dibakar Banerjee who is known for making his actors embrace their characters before they start shooting asked Arjun and Parineeti to prep up for the film at separate timings and not communicate at all before they give their first shot together.

“Arjun and Parineeti have a great bond. They were loved in Ishaqzaade and they had sparkling chemistry. In Dibakar’s film, they stumble upon each other and their journey starts off on a very unusual note. Dibakar wanted to keep Arjun and Parineeti away till they meet on the set for the first time,” informs a source.

The source adds, “Arjun and Parineeti’s characters hate each other in the film. In fact, from the time Arjun and Parineeti were signed on for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Dibakar asked them to not even meet socially. They haven’t even been calling each other. There is no form of communication between them at all. And both the actors have been following his vision for the film. It makes a lot of sense as, when they meet again there will be a natural awkwardness which Dibakar wants at the start of the shoot.”

Talking about the same the Oye Lucky Oye director, Dibakar says, “It is essential that Arjun and Parineeti do not come across as friends at the start of the film. They have known each other for years and their personal chemistry needs to be hidden in the beginning. We wanted to achieve this by keeping them away from each other. I’m hoping the two, coming from very different workshops, will surprise the pants off each other on their first day of the shoot.”

The first look of Arjun from the thriller had him in the avatar of a Haryanvi policeman and Parineeti set aside her bubbly image of Golmaal Again as she got into the skin of an extremely ambitious girl from the corporate world. The intriguing title of the movie has caught the attention of fans too.
