(MENAFN - The Conversation) I work in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in developed and developing communities. I am passionate about working at the nexus of technology and society, particularly investigating how appropriate technologies, community-led programs and public policy can improve health and well-being outcomes by increasing sustainable access and use of adequate water resources, sanitation and hygiene facilities and services.

I have a PhD in Environmental Systems Engineering, and an undergraduate background in Environmental Systems Engineering, Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry.
In my "free time" I'm also Editor in Chief at Engineers Without Borders Australia's Journal of Humanitarian Engineering, a Global Advisor to the Menstrual Hygiene Day Secretariat, and a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Practical Action's journal Waterlines.
