Adidas Dublin release: Would YOU queue overnight in the cold for these retro trainers?

ADIDAS DUBLIN trainers were re-released today at Size stores across the UK and Ireland, and hundreds of people queued overnight in freezing temperatures to get their hands on a pair.

Despite temperatures touching freezing last night, crowds of sneaker heads were seeing queuing outside the shop Size to grab a pair of the limited edition shoes.

People queued outside branches including Cambridge, Dublin, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, London, Manchester and Nottingham eagerly waiting for the re-release of the trainer, which forms part of the store’s exclusive Archive Collection.

While many camped out in the cold, a lucky few were able to snap them up online.

People who witnessed the queues, confused about why some people would go to such lengths for a shoe, took to Twitter.

I like a pair of adidas as much as the next man but people camped outside size? For adidas Dublins. Absolute height of gimpy behaviour.

While the trainers are said to have sold out from Size stores within minutes, pairs have already gone on sale on eBay.

The £85 shoes are currently selling up to £400 on the auction website.

But if the price on eBay is a bit steep, this is how to get your hands on a pair

Trainer fans queued outside the store from 7pm on Thursday.

Some stores confirmed at Twitter they opened at 8am, while others opened at 9.

Victor Osborne, 17, and Callum Petch, 16, waited outside their local store for 14 hours and luckily managed to grab a pair.

They told the Hull Daily Mail during the wait: “I think it got down to one or two degrees. I just brought a deckchair, some food and what I’m wearing now.”

Sharon Worley, of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, was queuing up on behalf of her son, who is currently abroad with the Marines.

The 53-year-old told the Nottingham Post: “I do not know why he wants them so much but apparently they are limited edition.

“He just rang me while I was having lunch to tell me people were queuing and that I had to get here so I grabbed the train.

“I wasn’t prepared at all, my husband is going to bring me supplies and a sleeping bag later. It’s already a bit chilly.

“He’s going to owe me big time after this.”
