CHENNAI: In the Indian Oil Tamil Nadu state-ranking men’s billiards championship, defending champion S Shrikrishna (Myl), D Bhuvaneswaran (TNBSA), Vijayram (Myl), B Jagadesh (MCC), Prem Prakash (Coim), G Prabhu (MGC), Vijay Nichani (Coim) and Hemant Srivatsav (Myl) have entered the quarterfinals. Shrikrishna got the better of Saranraj 100-30, 101-21, 102-26.

Results: Group A: D Bhuvaneswaran bt Makeen 100-80, 102-30, 100-47; S Shrikrishna bt Saranraj 100-30, 101-21, 102-26.

Group B: R Loganathan bt Vijay Nichani 100-69, 101-53, 90-101, 101-92;  Vijayram bt B Jagadesh 100-65, 100-76, 101-24.

Group C: Vijay Nichani bt Jaiganesh 81-102, 101-82, 73-101, 100-88, 100-18.

Group D: G Prabhu bt J Varunkumar 103-49, 70-101, 100-12, 101-84; Prem Prakash bt G Prabhu 100-26, 103-29, 52-100, 101-54.
