Unique visit for visually impaired children

A group of students of the Nalgonda School for the Blind called on President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday, celebrating Children’s Day with other participating schools and institutions.

Sharing the experience of the meeting, General Secretary of the Development & Welfare Association of the Blind (DWAB) P. Chokka Rao said the event was a significant one, and it encouraged the students.

The students back at the school in Nalgonda on Wednesday participated in the November 14 celebrations by singing and delivering speeches on the importance of the day.

A requisition for a grant-in-aid to run the institute was also submitted to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, and Persons with Disability through the Office, an official release stated.
