Beach cops to get sun shields

CALANGUTE: Policemen from the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) who patrol Calangute beach will soon be provided with beach umbrellas and chairs, and also at spots like the beach promenade to shield them from the harsh sun. Calangute MLA Michael Lobo said that he is donating the items because they have to perform their duties through the day and in the hot sun.
