The OnePlus 5T has been officially unveiled

OnePlus 5T sales will begin on November 21st

Original story: OnePlus is set to , November 16th 2017.

The exclusive media event is scheduled to begin at 16:00 GMT.

OnePlus fans across the globe will be able to tune into the keynote, dubbed "A New View", via the company’s official launch page: https://oneplus.net/event

“We can't wait to tell you all about the new features and improvements that we have been working on,” OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei wrote in an official blog post this month.

OnePlus has confirmed that sales for the OnePlus 5T will kickstart in North America and Europe – including the UK – on November 21st.

In the weeks before the worldwide launch today, a steady stream of rumours and blurred photos have been shared online, revealing some crucial details about the next OnePlus handset.

And earlier this week, photographs of the OnePlus 5T and its accompanying press materials were mistakenly published online.

ZDNet.de shared an article with photographs of the unannounced handset.

It also published images from the official press materials distributed to media, which revealed the specs and software features in the upcoming OnePlus flagship.

ZDNet.de says it was unaware of the embargoed status of the OnePlus 5T when it published the article and has since pulled it.

Before it went offline, the article – not to mention its accompanying photographs – confirmed a number of details that had previously been rumoured about the new OnePlus, including its edge-to-edge 6.01-inch AMOLED display.

It appears the rumours about OnePlus relocating the fingerprint scanner to the back of the phone to help accommodate the larger 18:9 aspect ratio screen were also correct.

The new AMOLED display has a 1080 x 2160 resolution, which works out at a respectable 401 pixels-per-inch.

Elsewhere, the OnePlus 5T is extremely similar to its predecessor, something we’ve come to expect from these iterative “T” models from OnePlus.

The new handset ships with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage, a 3,300mAh battery, Snapdragon 835 chipset, and Android 7.1.1 preinstalled.

OnePlus 5T also gets a dual 16MP camera set-up on the rear, and a single shooter on the front – like its predecessor.

The new smartphone will keep its 3.5mm headphone port, unlike the latest from Apple, Google and HTC.

Charging and syncing will be handled by USB-C, like the OnePlus 5.

The leaked documentation confirms OnePlus 5T will be available to buy November 21st in the UK, Europe and North America.

According to a leak reported by TechRadar, the OnePlus 5T will cost exactly the same as the OnePlus when it launches.

The latter went on sale for £449 for the entry-level model with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM, and £499 for 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.

Express.co.uk will have all the latest news from the OnePlus 5T launch later today.
