New KMRL MD visits Muttom Yard

Mohammed Hanish, Managing Director, Kochi Metro Rail Ltd, during his first official visit to Muttom yard on Wednesday

KOCHI: A P M  Mohammed Hanish who has taken over as the managing director of the Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) conducted his first official visit at Muttom yard on Wednesday.He had a detailed discussion with officers regarding the smooth functioning of operations and maintenance of the system. He addressed the operations and maintenance staff at the Muttom Yard after the inspection, and appreciated their work.

Speaking to reporters, Hanish said KMRL was re-working parking rates, in view of the complaints received over the matter. He also expressed the hope of a spike in ridership once the new fares are in place.
Director (projects) Thiruman Archunan, general manager (O and M) Konain Khan, general manager (RS and E) A R Rajendran and other senior KMRL officers accompanied the MD on his visit.
