The Shirt You Won't Want to Take off All Weekend (or Ever)

It's part of a new collaboration with Outdoor Voices and Allbirds

If you're like me, you probably don’t put a lot of thought into your weekend looks. Since I’m busy running errands around town or chilling out for brunch, unless I have an occasion to impress other humans, I basically wear a uniform. Comfort is the guiding principle. It’s the weekend, after all.

Recently, I found a rig that channels exactly the vibe I'm looking for. A new, limited-edition collaboration with Outdoor Voices and Allbirds created the Photofinish tee (as part of a three-piece kit) I didn't want to take off. I actually thought about wearing it again the next day. I’d be wearing it right now if I worked from home and my colleagues didn’t notice repeat outfits in the same week.

After some digging, I found out what makes the jersey shirt feel so special: It’s a technique called mossing, which gives the material its plush texture. The result is a shirt that’s breathable, stretchy, and basically feels like you’re wearing a peach. A designer for the brand explained that they create the effect by sanding the fabric to slightly break down the fibers and soften the most exterior layer. The result is a cushy feel without jeopardizing the technical integrity of the material.

This shirt is part of the first collaboration between the Austin-based Outdoor Voices, the brand with the laid-back athletic attitude, and Allbirds, the San Francisco-based label that makes those light-as-a-cloud wool runners. These feel-good brands joined forces to create the Jogwalkers Kit, which includes an Outdoor Voices top and bottom, the Allbirds wool runners in either Black Iris or OV SF Grey, plus the Jogwalkers Club tote. The pieces, which come in navy and gray color-blocked options, are available separately, though they’re designed to be worn together. You can scoop them up here for $195 (men’s) and $220 (women’s). The holidays are coming, so I suggest you do something faster than jogwalking to get yours before they’re sold out.
