Shares of Surya Roshni climbed over 5 per cent in Thursday’s trade on BSE after the company said that it has secured orders through competitive e-bidding for LED street lights.

The scrip was trading at 5.22 per cent up at Rs 359.80 around 11.58 am (IST). Shares of the company opened at Rs 345.60 and touched a high and low of Rs 366.60 and Rs 344.05, respectively, in trade so far. Benchmark BSE Sensex was up 228 points, or 0.70 per cent, at 32,988 at around the same time.

In a filing Surya Roshni said, “The company has obtained orders through competitive e-bidding for LED street lights amounting to Rs 89.77 crore for design, manufacture, supply and testing under PAN India SLNP (Street light National Program) and for Chandrapur, Bikaner (Rajastjan) and Telangana from PSU entity, Energy Efficiency Services (EESL).”

The one-time order has to be executed in less than three months.

The scrip had hit 52-week high of Rs 391.80 on October 30, 2017 and 52-week low of Rs 165.50 on December 27, 2016.
