With a lengthy server maintenance period currently ongoing, Bungie have released a new Destiny 2 update on PS4 and Xbox One.

The development haven’t added any new features with this latest patch, instead focusing on removing current problems with the game.

This is to get ready for the new Destiny 2 DLC being released in early December.

Bungie actually released two sets of Destiny 2 Patch Notes today, although it’s unclear why.

The first set confirms that a new Curse of Osiris announcement has been added to the game, which fans can expect to go live next month.

The second set of Destiny 2 update notes are very short and contain one change, which can be found below:

“Resolved an issue that was causing additional Buffalo errors on PC.”

This will likely be well received by Destiny 2 players on PC, who have been running into the error.

The rest of the Destiny 2 update notes can be found below:

  • Fixed an issue with Venture Capital Clan Perk erroneously awarding Faction Rally tokens
  • Fixed a rare crash with the Taken Blight Public Event

Destiny 2 server maintenance kicked off at 4pm UK time, when players were no longer able to login into Destiny and Destiny 2.

Maintenance ends at 8pm UK time, at which point users will be prompted to download the new Hotfix update.

"Destiny 1 & 2 will be brought offline for maintenance starting at 8 AM PST. Expected duration is 4 hours."

As usual, Sign-in functionality and other Destiny Companion services on the Mobile App, Bungie.net, and third-party sites may be restricted or unavailable during Destiny Server maintenance periods.

On days in which Destiny is receiving an Update or Server Maintenance, players can follow @BungieHelp on Twitter for updates on the process and timeline for the server maintenance or update deployment.

The new Destiny 2 DLC being released in December - named Curse of Osiris - will see players get access to new armour, gear and weapons, along with a revamped version of the current Raid.

The new story coming to Destiny 2 also features the most notorious Warlock in history and his outspoken Ghost companion as they investigate the mysteries of Mercury and the Infinite Forest.
