The complete profile of more than 70000 teachers of government schools of state is now available on a click of mouse. Details like photograph, mobile number and place of posting of the teachers are posted in the website of the department.
The education minister launched the portal of the department having data and photograph of all teachers. The minister praised the efforts of department and National Informatics Centre (NIC) and said that the menace of fake teachers would end with this venture. He said that the entire data of the teachers posted in a school can easily be obtained now. Pandey said that some teachers instead of coming to the school hire unemployed youths to teach in their place. This practice would stop now, he added. The minister urged the teachers and education department officials to ensure that students develop interest in art, fine art and drama apart from other subjects.
The education secretary Bhupinder Kaur Olakh said that now the public representatives and the common people can know about the teachers placed in a school easily in the portal of the department.
