Free coaching for students in 770 govt schools begins

KOTA: Now, students of about 770 government schools in the state can fulfil their dreams of becoming a doctor or an engineer.

The government has started imparting free coaching to these students for medical and engineering entrance from a virtual classroom set up in District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) office in Kota. The experts are teaching in Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.

According to principal, DIET, Kota, Manhore Sing Bhati, the facility for students was started on Wednesday by faculties of Allen Career Institute from the virtual class room in DIET office. The facility was part of the MoU signed between state government and Allen Career Institute of Kota last month in Jaipur, he said.

Bhati said, the coaching in science (biology), mathematics, physics and chemistry will run for four hours daily from 10 AM to 2.30 pm. "It is a good project by the state government and Allen Career Institute for the students who aspire to be an engineer and doctor. It will help students who could not avail such coaching due to poor financial condition, said Bhati adding now the students in any corner of the state can avail the benefits of coaching by expert faculties in the virtual classroom of the government school in his area.


According to director of Allen Career Institute Naveen Maheshwari, in the first phase of the project, science students of Class 11 have been involved for free coaching by expert faculties of the institute. There would be two-way teaching in the virtual classroom and the students would be able to raise questions and get solution from the experts, he said.


There are 17 senior secondary schools with smart virtual classrooms in Bundi district and students in seven of the schools with science stream has started taking free coaching facility by Wednesday, told Umme Habiba, in-charge of smart virtual classroom project, Bundi district education department.


The free coaching project may, however, face stumbling block in government schools in rural areas of the state due to poor power supply. Missing of any of the regular classes would be a great loss for the students, said experts.
