This wonderful place actually has a literary curator on staff, since the Heathman needs someone to oversee its growing collection of books. The hotel has a lending library that specializes autographed editions. The collection includes more than 2,700 books signed by Nobel Prize and Pulitzer Prize winners, U.S. Poet Laureates, a former US president, and other authors who have stayed at the hotel. The Heathman also opens the library’s bookshelves four nights a week, to its patrons and offers complimentary wine!
