Padman: Akshay Kumar finally shares first look of Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte

Padman star Akshay Kumar shares two new pictures of co-stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte from his upcoming Republic Day release. One character is the strength behind Padman and another one is the reason.

We all know that Akshay Kumar starrer Padman, which is being produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna, is slated to release on January 26, 2018. This Republic Day release has already made all of us excited and to add to the excitement, Khiladi Kumar recently shared some updates with his fans and followers. We already know that this comedy-drama, directed by R. Balki, will have Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles with Akshay and thus the actor has finally shared the first looks of his Padman co-stars.

“The REASON he became #PADMAN…find out on 26th January, 2018. @radhika_apte @PadManTheFilm @sonamakapoor @mrsfunnybones @SonyPicsIndia @kriarj #RBalki,” wrote Akshay as he shared a picture with Radhika Apte.

His next post had a photo of Sonam Kapoor along with the captions, “The STRENGTH behind #PADMAN…find out on 26th January, 2018. @sonamakapoor @PadManTheFilm @radhika_apte @mrsfunnybones @SonyPicsIndia @kriarj #RBalki.”

Akshay Kumar also shared another happy news earlier that Hollywood studio Sony Pictures Entertainment has partnered with Padman to distribute the film to audiences worldwide. “Happy to have met Sanford Panitch, President,Columbia Pictures,SPE & glad to partner with @SonyPicsIndia as they join on the incredible journey of @PadmanTheFilm & introduce a real superhero to the world on 26th Jan,2018 @sonamakapoor @radhika_apte @mrsfunnybones #RBalki @kriarj,” tweeted the Padman star.

Sonam Kapoor too shared her experience working in the film and tweeted, “Such a pleasure working with the indomitable Akshay Kumar. He was the perfect person to play the role of #Padman and has brought a sense of humour and love to the film. Of course none of these would have been possible without the humble visionary #Rbalki 🙌 @PadManTheFilm.”

Padman will be based on Twinkle Khanna’s book The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired by the life of Indian entrepreneur and inventor Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented the low cost sanitary pad-making machine and revolutionized the movement of cost-effective female hygiene in India.
