PANAJI: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing Goa's mining scam appears to have further expedited investigations in the case. Summons have been issued to multiple persons allegedly involved in the case to appear for questioning before the SIT within the coming week. Former Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat has been asked to appear on November 20.

Mine owner Praful Hede has been summoned on November 18. Sources said that officials are looking at filing 'part by part chargesheets' in the main mining case soon.

The SIT investigating the 'condonation of delay' in lease renewals has also summoned former principal secretary (mines) Rajiv Yadhuvanshi again on Wednesday. Assistant geologist of the mines department Shobhana Rivonkar has been called for investigations this Thursday.
