Actor Richa Chadha is the latest star from Bollywood to bat for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati".
The actor said no faith is weak that it will get affected by a film.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati" is facing trouble even before its release from several outfits accusing the filmmaker for "distorting historical facts" and hurting sentiments.
When asked about the issue, Richa told reporters, "Whatever I will say, it will be blown out of proportion. But I will say it in the most polite way. With all due respect, I am also a Hindu and I don't believe that faith is so weak that it will break with a film."
The actor said that there is already a body which certifies films.
"I feel that the best thing about our country is that we are a democracy. So first watch the film and then if there is any objection... There is a body in our country that certifies films. I have belief in my faith, culture and tradition that it won't shake up because of a two-three hour film," she said.
She was speaking at the song launch of her latest, "Fukrey Returns", scheduled to be released on December 15.
