WWE India card: Jinder Mahal vs Triple H to headline in New Delhi

The WWE’s biggest overseas fanbase arguably resides in India and South Asia. It is hence understandable that the wrestling entertainment stable is headed to India for two shows to be held on December 9. Initially it looked like Jinder Mahal may stage his first WWE Championship title defence against Kevin Owens. But since then, The Modern Day Maharaja has lost his belt to AJ Styles. Triple H then challenged Jinder Mahal to a match and the latter accepted. The match between the two will hence be the headline event. Here are the matches that will be featured in New Delhi’s IGI Stadium on December 9.

The Triple H had said in a video that he was asked a number of times during his recent visit to Mumbai as to when he will return to the ring. He then said that he will make a return if India and Jinder Mahal are ready to see him. Jinder Mahal replied and, in a rare moment of humility, said that it is an “honour” for him that Triple H would consider him an opponent but then warned that he may not be able to defeat Mahal in front of his own people in New Delhi.
