‘Bring out the child in you,’ sportspersons wish fans a Happy Children’s Day

Several sportspersons wished their fans a happy Children’s Day on Tuesday. Children’s Day marks the day Jawaharlal Nehru, Independent India’s first Prime Minister, was born. Nehru was affectionately known as Chacha Nehru and emphasized the importance of giving love and affection to children.

Prior to his death, Children’s Day used to be celebrated in India on November 20, the date observed as Universal Children’s Day by the United Nations. Stars from accross sports put up messages commemorating the occasion on their social media handles.
