PATNA: Intermediate students of government schools on Tuesday appeared for the sent-up examination, which started on the new pattern proposed by Bihar School Examination Board. The new pattern of 50% objective and 50% subjective questions has been implemented for the current session of the board examination.

Himanshu Shekhar, a Class XII student of Rajkiya Ucch Vidyalaya Rajendra Nagar, appeared for physics examination. "The paper was a cakewalk for me. I had prepared a lot, but it was quiet easier than what I had expected. If the board papers are also like this, I will surely get good marks," he said.

"The question paper was entirely different from last year. We got options in long-type questions. I attempted those questions which I had prepared for. With more objective questions, I have completed my paper within one-and-a-half hour against three hours time. The objective-type questions had covered the whole syllabus and the paper was quiet easy," said Manjeet Kumar, a student of Miller High School.

Kajal Agnihotri of Patna Collegiate said, "The sent-up examination has given a clear concept about how to prepare for the board examination. I am happy that the board has proposed this new pattern as it will be easy for us to score well."

Patna Collegiate principal Madhuri Dwivedi said the students were satisfied with their paper. "Earlier, they were quite worried, but they were happy today," she said.
