The Ducati Panigale V4 is the first ever bike from the Ducati stables to get a V4 engine. The 1,103 cc motor makes a massive 211 bhp at 13,000 rpm while the peak torque churned out is a solid 124 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional Ducati Quickshifter. To keep all that power in check, the Panigale V4 also gets a host of electric nannies such as as Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Traction Control, three riding modes (Race, Sport, Street), Ducati Wheelie Control, a bi-directional quick-shifter and a TFT instrumentation console. Also, there is the cornering ABS, Ducati Power Launch, Engine Brake Control and finally, Ducati electronic suspension.

This is perhaps most technically advanced road-going engine that Ducati has made and the engine itself is derived from the V4 engine which is used in the MotoGP race-spec bikes being piloted by Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo in the MotoGP racing championship.
