THE DESTINY 2 Reset time is being changed soon by Bungie, who are also set to reveal the Faction Rally winner.

UPDATE ONE: Bungie have confirmed the Destiny 2 Faction Rally Winners to be New Monarchy.

Because of this, The Tower has been decorated in the Faction's colours and banners, with Victory Week now ongoing.

Guardians now have a week to cash in all of their Tokens and grab whatever gear they were eyeing up, however, it should be noted that gear drops are limited to the first 30 reward packages.

Destiny 2 players can also buy New Monarchy's Honor's Edge Adaptive sword, which costs 1,000 Glimmer to those who were part of the winning Faction this week.

For everyone else, it will set you back around 50,000 Glimmer.

Bungie did not reference the recently found Token-farming exploit found, so it's unclear if this might have affected who won.

Guardians can still expect the Weekly Reset to begin at around 9am, GMT today, but this will be tweaked slightly in December.

The development team have confirmed that with the release of the game’s first DLC - The Curse of Osiris - Bungie will be moving the Weekly Reset to around 5pm, GMT.

Here’s why: “Throughout Destiny 1’s lifespan, players would frequently encounter an issue where weekly resets would not always coincide with content releases.

“This would prevent impacted players from earning new rewards. Countermeasures were taken by disabling activity playlists, but we were unable to prevent every scenario.

“Additionally, we’re seeking to align the Milestone resets with event availability, such as Trials of the Nine or Iron Banner, to provide a uniform experience for players to follow each week.”

This will affect the normal list of activities, including:

  • Call to Arms Crucible Milestone
  • Destination Flashpoint Milestone
  • Clan XP Milestone
  • Raid Milestone
  • Raid Checkpoints
  • Meditations
  • Weekly Clan Engrams
  • Weekly Clan XP Caps
  • Weekly Bright Dust Inventory in Eververse

Destiny 2's Faction Rally Winner will be announced today

December 5 will also see Destiny 2’s first seasonal reset, which will impact the progression and rewards for many activities, features, and events in the game.

However, this week fans can expect everything to go down as normal, although another event will be finishing later today.

Destiny 2’s second Faction Rally winner will be announced, with the winning side getting the chance to grab the prize weapon up for grabs.

From November 7 until November 13, Faction leaders have been pushing all Guardians to earn reward packages full of armor, weapons, and more.

Your efforts in game will determine which faction is crowned the winner and given the right to sell their weapon as an additional reward.

Winners will also be able to buy their Faction’s Weapons for 1,000 glimmer, while members of every other faction will have to pay 50,000 glimmer.

Some things have changed since the last Faction Rally, with Senior Designer Tim Williams going into greater detail earlier this week.

“During the first Faction Rallies, we had a chance to learn a lot about how the activities motivated gameplay.”

“Strikes should feel more worthy of the time you invest in them. We noticed that players felt Lost Sectors were useful, but disliked the fact that they couldn’t enjoy them with a fireteam, so we moved the faction tokens from the destructible items to the chest at the end of the activity.

“The destructibles will still be featured as a daily milestone and are still available to help your fireteam clear out the Lost Sector.”

"We’re all excited to see which faction the players will help to win this faction rally. We’ll be watching and looking to improve the Faction Rallies over time, so please keep the feedback coming."

These changes include:

  • Strikes now reward faction tokens at a range of 5 to 9 faction tokens per completion (up from 3 to 7)
  • Nightfall now rewards 10 to 18 faction tokens on first completion per character
  • Completing Heroic Public Events now rewards 5 faction tokens (down from 8)
  • Destroying enemy resources no longer rewards faction tokens
  • Opening Lost Sector Chests now rewards 3 faction tokens for each fireteam member
