Bridgeport council supports development zoning application

BRIDGEPORT >> Borough council voted Thursday to support a zoning relief application for a warehouse on West Third Street.

In conjunction with his plans for a warehouse at 110-112 W. Third, business owner Joe Galleo has applied for zoning variances regarding parking and allowable use. The borough zoning code requires parking at the rear of the building, which is not feasible due to the presence of railroad tracks, Galleo said.

The warehouse will most likely be used by his own business, he said.

Council voted 5-0 to send a letter in support of the application to the borough zoning hearing board in time for its Nov. 29 session. Council members JoAnn Gadzicki and John Pizza were absent.
