The controversy and protests surrounding "Padmavati' don't seem to be ending anytime soon. Recently, Ranveer Singh was ruthlessly trolled on social media when he posted an image of himself on Twitter, with the caption 'Losing My Religion', lyrics of the iconic song by the 80s American rock band, REM. But knowing Ranveer Singh, he will stop at nothing to prove how sassy he is. He has put out two more tweets which mirror his tongue-in-cheek humour and cheekiness. Instead of fighting it out or releasing statements, the actor has quietly put across his points, in what can be described as him maintaining his cool, despite being thrown a round of accusations every second day.

Ranveer has once again posted lyrics of a famous song by the American rapper Eminem. There is also a 'finger' emoji at the beginning of the tweet and anyone who can read between the lines will know that Ranveer remains unfazed by the backlash. Currently, Ranveer Singh is in Los Angeles for a brand shoot. The actor has been sharing snapshots on Instagram of his time off. He has been fishing and soaking in the sights combining work with pleasure. As soon as he is back, Ranveer begins promotions for 'Padmavati'.

After continuous opposition by several religious groups, and now BJP, on the pretext of Sanjay Leela Bhansali portraying factually incorrect history, it was believed that Ranveer Singh, who plays Alauddin Khilji in 'Padmavati', wouldn't promote the project to avoid fanning negativity. So far, the film's leading lady Deepika Padukone has been promoting the project. Now, insiders suggest that Singh will take charge of the promotions in the coming days.
