American biz delegation to visit Goa on Nov 17

Panaji: Members of the US delegation that will be attending the 8th annual Global Entrepreneurship summit (GES) to be held in Hyderabad, will visit Goa on November 17.


The US delegation to India later this month is led by Ivanka Trump, daughter and adviser to US President Donald Trump, for the summit that will focus on supporting women entrepereneurs and fostering economic growth globally. Trump will not be visiting Goa.


Purnima Voria, founder and CEO of National India US chamber of commerce (NUICC), Denver, Colarado, who is part of the US delegation, will address the Goan business community on Friday at Goa chamber of commerce and industry (GCCI) hall, Panaji, at 4 pm. "She will talk about trade and investment opportunities with USA," GCCI director general R S Kamat said, adding that those interested are requested to register their names in advance with GCCI on 2424252 as the guest list will be restricted to only 100. An international business advocate, Voria has served as advisor to the Obama administration on national advisory concil on minority business enterprises.


Chairman, national council for MSME, ASSOCHAM, Manguirish Pai Raikar said it would be a great opportunity for Goan infotech companies, who are into export of software, to use the platform of NUICC to take their business to the next level. " I suggested for a facilitation window for Goan Entrepreneurs," he said.
