AJMER: The indefinite strike by three Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) students demanding quality food in hostels entered third day on Monday. During the convocation ceremony they were guarded by the police.

Students Sunil Chopra, a scholar and two others, Bal Kishan Kumawat and Kailash sat on hunger strike after giving notice to the university.

"Our demands are simple like we want quality food in hostel mess, quality drinking water and want our parents to stay inside campus when they come to meet us," said Sunil. He said that that this is their university and because of the working of present V-C, the ranking of university in all India level went down from 34 to 156.

He alleged corruption in appointment and also nepotism inside the university and claimed that most of the students had not attended the convocation programme and supported their cause. He alleged that not a single official came to talk to them, "We also talked to the chief guest PK Mishra and told him about our demands but we know he cannot do anything because the matter is related to HRD ministrym" added Sunil.
