Rockathon leaves behind an enthusiastic trail

The rockscapes at Khajaguda near Gachibowli provided the perfect escapade for rock-lovers, adventure buffs and nature enthusiasts who thronged the sixth edition of Hyderabad Rockathon on Sunday.

It was jointly organised by the Society to Save Rocks and the Great Hyderabad Adventure Club, and sponsored by Telangana Tourism.

The participants took to rappelling, zip lining, bouldering, rock climbing, trail biking and other fun activities.

The events began early in the morning with rock walks followed by rappelling and zip lining which attracted nervous first-timers and seasoned climbers alike.

The snake show by Friends of Snakes and the magic show by hearing impaired artist Ravi Chandra were an added attraction.

The Telangana Tourism Secretary, B. Venkatesam, and founder director of the Great Hyderabad Adventure Club B. Diyanat Ali spoke on the occasion.
