T-Series 2018 calendar is here and looks like the production house is all set to make this year a promising one. From Kedarnath, Raid and Saina to a number of untitled projects with the who’s who of Bollywood, here is everything you need to know about the films releasing in 2018 from this production banner.

Raid

Starring the Baadshaho pair of Ajay Devgn and Illeana D’Cruz, Raid is hitting the theatres on March 16, 2018. It is being directed by Rajkumar Gupta and is based on real-life events involving one of the most high profile income tax raids the country has ever known.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu

After delivering the superhit Toilet: Ek Prem Katha with Akshay Kumar this year, director Shree Narayan Singh is all set to return with yet another content drama on August 31. Starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, Batti Gul Meter Chalu puts forth the contradiction between the long hours of power cuts and the ironical high electricity bills that dig a hole in the common man’s pocket.

Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan’s untitled project

Next up on the calendar is an untitled project making its way to the cinema screens on October 2, 2018. Helmed by Honey Trehan, we are sure this biopic on Sapna Didi, a feared Mumbai mafia queen of the ’80s, is the one Deepika and Irrfan have so long been in talks for. Will this Gandhi Jayanti release weave magic at the box office?

Ajay Devgn’s untitled project

Pyaar Ka Punchnama director Luv Ranjan is back in the game and this time he has Golmaal Again actor Ajay Devgn by his side. Though earlier reports suggested that the film will be an urban comedy starring Tabu opposite Ajay, no confirmation has been given by T-series about the same. The film is set to release on October 19 next year, which is also the day of Dusshera.

Kedarnath

Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath is being awaited by fans with bated breath. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kedarnath will hit the theatres on December 21. The plot of the film reportedly revolves around a love story set against the backdrop of the Uttrakhand floods of 2013.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety

Starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Barucha and Sunny Singh, this film marks the second collaboration between director Luv Ranjan and T-series for the year. While Kartik and Nushrat have worked together in Luv’s directorial Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sunny Singh is the newest addition to this gang.

Raita

Filmmaker Abhinay Deo, whose last outing as a director was Force 2, will now direct a quirky comedy called Raita, with Irrfan Khan as its lead actor. Raita will have the unusual pairing of Irrfan Khan and Kirti Kulhari, reminding us of Abhinay’s previous film Delhi Belly which also had a rare casting of Imran Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Vir Das, Poorna Jagannathan and Shenaz Treasurywala. Its exact release date is still not out.

Saina

After essaying the role of Haseena Parkar in her last release, Shraddha Kapoor is all set with another biopic for the upcoming year. And this time, it is on the 27-year-old London Olympics bronze medalist Saina Nehwal. As Shraddha gears up to unfold the journey of ace Indian shuttler Saina onto the big screen, the actor says it will be one of the most challenging projects of her career.
