SpiceJet Q3 profit soars 80%

Mumbai: Low fare carrier SpiceJet Wednesday announced its 11th consecutive quarterly profit on a robust operating performance.
The airline posted a net profit of Rs 105.3 crore, for the three months ended September, up 80% on year. Revenue rose 30% to Rs 1814.3 crore. Capacity grew 22%.
The airline clocked a 7% increase in its passenger yields (Revenue per Available Seat Kilometer) while its average load factor across the network was 93.1%.
"SpiceJet has recorded more than 90% load factor for 30 successive months, a feat unparalleled globally," the airline claimed in a release.
"Significantly the quarter also marked the fifth consecutive month when the airline’s domestic load factors have been in excess of 94%," it added.
