
The Umang app can be used for 100 government services
The Umang App can now be used to get a new PAN card made or the existing one altered. If you are looking forward to filing an income tax (I-T) return in the current or upcoming assessment year, you can download the
Umang App since I-T department becomes one of the latest entrants of government departments that offer services via the Umang App also. After All India Council Of Technical Education (AICTE), crop insurance, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana (PMKVY) and soil health card et al; I-T department, too, has joined the Umang App, a govt-run virtual platform of nearly 100 government services.
One can download Umang app and look for myPAN. The gateway allows you to file form 49A (for new card) or change the details through CSF form.

The details given on the myPAN section of Umang app says, "(Apply for) New Pan Card application form 49A for individuals, firm etc. You can also change PAN card details using CSF form. Track PAN card status and make payment online."
Umang (Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance) was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD). Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted about the Umang App recently.
