HYDERABAD: Without exception, during rush hours of every working day, vehicles can be seen moving at a snail’s pace on the arterial roads of Hyderabad and Cyberabad. Bumper to bumper traffic situation can be witnessed from 9 am to 11 am and from 5.30 pm to at least 8 pm on working days. While going to offices and returning homes, people driving two-wheelers, four-wheelers caught in thick traffic, hold on to their patience levels.

What would be the situation when VIP convoys have to zip past the city roads? The situation is expected when VIPs would arrive for Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) to be held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), which is located in heart of Hitech city. To discuss traffic and security aspects, a convergence meeting would be held on Monday.

The summit, co-hosted by India and US, will be held from November 28 to 30. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Donald Trump’s daughter and advisor Ivanka Trump, would inaugurate the summit. Around 1,200 entrepreneurs are expected to attend GES in Cyberabad.

With VIPs set to visit Hyderabad, traffic police from both the commissionerates said that they held one convergence meeting where one of the point of discussions  was managing traffic in the city. Another round of meeting will be held on Monday.  “The convergence meeting will be held on Monday,” said Madhapur Tarffic inspector T Narsing Rao
