Margao: Margao town police finally succeeded in re-arresting the person who had escaped from its custody on November 2. Baburao Mirashi was nabbed at Belagavi and brought to Margao on Sunday.
Mirashi was arrested by the police on November 2 on charges of having committed theft of a mobile phone.
He was being taken to the jail in Colvale when Mirashi gave the police a slip. Mirashi was waiting with a police escort at the lobby of the South Goa police headquarters, Margao, to get into the police vehicle. As the cop escorting Mirashi rushed inside to get some documents, Mirashi took to his heels.
